I, Nina, got my first cat in 1980, but did not start breeding cats until 10 years later, in 1992.  When I met my husband he had never had a pet before, so I was a bit nervous for my cats.  I didn't have to worry.  He loves them just as much as I do, and takes really good care of them.  The breeding, on the other hand, is entirely "my cup of tea".  He loves to have kittens, but is glad when they leave home to go to their new owners.  I, however, cry my eyes out.   I have gotten better over the years.  Now I only cry when they leave, and not for days after.  So maybe there is hope for me to.

The Benzn Cattery breeds  Norwegian Forest Cats.  We breed all the "regular" colors, with the exception of silver and all white cats.  We try to breed well built cats of a good size with an expressive head. The most important thing is to breed cats with good mental health and temper.  After all, only a fraction of our kittens are sold to breeders and exhibitors.  And even these are family members.  They are to function as a pet first an foremost.
Kittens from the Benzn cattery is delivered to their new owner around the age of 12 weeks.  They come to their new owners with a health certificate, vaccinated, dewormed, contract of sale and a pedigree book.  We are always available to answer any questions and try to solve eventual problems our kitten buyers may have regarding the kitten, or adult cat too, of course.
